From 4 people every week to 1 person, one day per month.
Anonymous Tunisian transport company — 1,200 employees. Figures validated by the client.
A growing transport group with payroll run by hand.
Our client operates a vehicle fleet in Tunisia with 1,200 employees across multiple sites. Tracking timekeeping data, collecting payroll variables and producing payslips occupied an entire team every month — not for lack of skills, but for lack of automation. The data existed. The tools to process it did not.
Four irritants that came back every month.
- Timekeeping data came off the machines by manual relay — one person responsible for collecting files site by site, every week.
- Variable validation happened manager by manager, by email, with systematic omissions and delays before every close.
- The monthly close took several days to a week, occupying 4 people part-time on that task alone.
- Post-payroll corrections absorbed several dozen hours per month — errors found after payslips were produced.
HR agent and payroll agent — two automations, one perimeter.
Teknovat deployed two agents in six weeks: the HR agent handles automatic timekeeping collection from attendance machines; the payroll agent collects variables from managers, checks every line for consistency and flags anomalies before close. The team validates — they no longer chase.
From scoping to production in six weeks.
Two days of on-site scoping, a prototype in two weeks, production deployment in three weeks. Team training and full documentation handed over at day 42.
Five metrics, before and after.
Measured over the last three months.
| Metric | Before | Today |
|---|---|---|
| Timekeeping collection | Manual relay from machines — [X]h per week | Automatic transmission |
| People mobilised | 4 people every week | 1 person, one day per month |
| Manager validation | Manual circuit, manager by manager | AI-assisted — variables available 5 days before close |
| Monthly close | Several days to a week | Half a day |
| Post-payroll corrections | Several dozen per month | Near zero — over the last 3 months |
How "near zero" is measured.
Post-payroll corrections are counted from correction tickets opened after payslip production. The figure "near zero" reflects the last three months of production. It is not guaranteed indefinitely — it is measured and dated. Before automation, the same metric reached several dozen per monthly cycle.
